i've heard of a project called "project sniper" where they put a Viper engine into an SN-95.

and im sure there's been other people who have put chevy engines in our cars too. honestly, i feel that if you want another motor, just buy another car with that motor. less problems, easier, etc etc. -- for example, if you want an LS1, buy a WS6.

Too much work for too little gain. There's no reason a modular can't be built to do the same thing an LSX would do.

I tend to agree with that a drastic engine swap is rarely worth the effort.

But to answered the Op's question it has been done, there are several turbo LSX swapped New edge mustangs floating around.

And I know of at least 1 with a Mazda 13b in it.

the only motor i would consider swapping in is an lsx, preferrably an ls2 mated with a t56 or th350/400, which can be done for about the same price as a fully built, s/c 4.6 but be quite a bit lighter and have some more potential with less cost for parts. BUT it there will many less headaches sticking with a built/FI 4.6

built ford tough with chevy stuff!!!! lol

This is one that a friend of mine owns. A its a 760 cubic inch custom Chevy big block 5 stages of nitrous and a 2 speed power glide. It started its life as a DSG v6 and now it runs low 5 in the 1/8mile.

With all due respect, because I like you as a poster... this comment just shows that you have no idea what an LSX can do, and how it can do it

TRADE MY Mach 1 HOOD + scoop set up for easy GT install (attached, no intake system necessary, unless you want it) for a COWL hood and maybe STOCK + CASH (but probably not). The hood is painted silver, in great shape, does need a color sand, but thats no biggie. Would prefer a swap for a silver one, but will consider many options. Need to trade due to changed plan on this car. RTP/Greensboro/Charlotte

not many people on this site do, id put money on it that syxnerd does (could be wrong tho). like i said if done right, itd be about the same price as a built/FI 4.6 but with quite a bit more capability and should be a ton faster at the track
