So I've had my MGW as probably my first mod. Now that I'm going to the track really often i'm noticed for several months now that the MGW is pretty hard to get into 3rd when you are banging gears. Basically it seems like you gotta give it a lot of rightward effort otherwise it will jam inbetween the 1st and 3rd shift gates. I've spoken to several people about this before and they all seem to agree. One of my friends with an 01 cobra had a tri-ax and then switched to the MGW and mentioned that he has to pay a bit more attention to bang into 3rd.
I feel like I wanna try another shifter. I know the MGW will probably be the smoothest but I want something good for the track. I'm thinking of trying a pro 5.0 with a tri-ax handle (since I don't like how the pro 5.0 handle points the shift knob directly at you). Anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks,
Brandon

i have a pro 5.0 on my gt and i never miss 3rd with it. only one complaint ive gotten was a friend of mine didnt like the throw in to 5th gear. i dont have a problem with it. if you dont like how the shifter points at you then could experiment with different **** knobs?

It's not the shift knob that would be the problem it's the angle of the handle. But it's cool cause I heard a tri-ax handle bolts right up and it's under $30 new for it. I'll probably go that route.
I think I have the latest one that came with the orange handle. It goes into 3rd just fine on the street in regular driving but banging gears is a slight different story

same thing with my Steeda tri-ax. Might be the syncro thought and not so much the shifter
