last major info i found on these two codes is below. i put a X on the ones i check and a ? on the ones i had no idea on how to..

P0172 - System too Rich (Bank 1) - The Adaptive Fuel Strategy continuously monitors the fuel delivery hardware. The test fails when the adaptive fuel tables reach a lean calibrated limit.

*Air Measurement System

MAF sensor (contaminated, damaged, corroded connector, etc.). ^^X_SAME STOCK MAF NEVER HAD PAST PROBLEMS.

*Fuel System

Fuel pressure regulator (vacuum hose off, diaphram leak, malfunctioning, etc.). ??

Leaking fuel injectors. XX DID NOT SEE FUEL LEAKING....
Fuel return line restricted. ??

Fuel rail pressure sensor (incorrect reading). ??

EVAP canister purge valve leak (when canister is full). ??

Base engine XX ENGINE BLOCK LOOKS FINE, EVERYTHING RUNNING.. NO UNPLUGGED HOSES ETC.. MAYBE LOOSE WIRES SOMEWHERE UNDER DASH?? FROM 800 MILE TRIP TO CALI?

Engine oil contamination XX REDID OIL ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO, ALWAYS DO OIL CHANGES 2K MILES (OIL THIS TIME MAY BE DIFFERENT THAN LAST CHANGE)

&&&&&

P0455 - EVAP Control System Leak Detected (No Purge Flow or Large Leak)
The PCM monitors the complete EVAP control system for no purge flow, the presence of a large fuel vapor leak or multiple small fuel vapor leaks. The system failure occurs when no purge flow (attributed to fuel vapor blockages or restrictions), a large fuel vapor leak or multiple fuel vapor leaks are detected by the EVAP running loss monitor test with the engine running (but not at idle).

After-market EVAP hardware (such as fuel filler cap) non-conforming to required specifications XX BOUGHT A NEW ONE 2 YR AGO BEEN FINE UNTIL ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO

Disconnected or cracked fuel EVAP canister tube, EVAP canister purge outlet tube or EVAP return tube ????

EVAP canister purge valve stuck closed ????

Damaged EVAP canister ??
Damaged or missing fuel filler cap XX ITS THERE

Insufficient fuel filler cap installation XX BEEN FINE TILL NOW

Loose fuel vapor hose/tube connections to EVAP system components ???

Blockages or restrictions in fuel vapor hoses/tubes (items also listed under disconnections or cracks) ???

Fuel vapor control valve tube assembly or fuel vapor vent valve assembly blocked ??

Canister vent (CV) solenoid stuck open ??

Mechanically inoperative fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor XX MEASURES FUEL WENT TO GAS STATION PUT A HALF TANK OF 91 LIKE ALWAYS, SUPERCHIP IS TUNED FOR 91. WAS GOING TO TAKE OF TUNE AND SEE IF ANYTHING CHANGES.

thanks ***TO CLIFFYK FOR THE MANUAL ON THOSE CODES
