the main problem is how people use it. todays kits are pretty safe and always use a wet kit it will save you in the end. i would build your way to the use of nos, headders,x pipe, cat back, maybe some cams, throttle body??
the big problem is nos back fires if you set it to run and open trottle sometimes it will back fire at a lanuch and blow off your intake mani and do some damage. ive seen a corvette burn to the ground. and a few hondas that the intakes came off. and the big problem is you have to refill your tank just so you can have fun.
what are your plans for the car??? and just to let you all know nos is a natural boost builder if you run nos on a blower set up (not as a intercooler cooler) it will actally give you 2-4more psi of boost and your 75 shot will actally turn in to a 100-125 shot. it all depends on the set up.
my friend has a mystic with a 5.1 stroker fully built (you know the 15k motors lol) a viper 6 speed fully built street legal race car and he runs a kennebelle on 18psi and i think a 150hp shot of nos and water meth man that car screams!!

the gt plastic manifolds dont hold up well to back fires.
stick with the wet shot and add a focus or ford gt pump for a good safety measure. wet systems are a bit safer since they already mix in fuel w/the n2o therefore its not as likely to lean out the engine. the only prob is that our intake manifold were engineered to flow air and not an air/fuel mix so you dont get the best n2o delivery.

theres a place called dyno tune nitrous that makes really really nice kits.... dynotunenitrous.com i got a wet kit for mustang for 389 new and it works awsome but i run a 125 wet shot and be sure to change ur plugs to 1 step colder plugs (ngk tr6)

That's why I'm getting a direct port nitrous kit. It adds nitrous after the intake. The fuel and nitrous will be added directly into each cylinder as opposed to before the manifold. A dry intake = virtually backfire free.
