Default Fuel injectors and throttle body to 2003 F150 4.6L?

I am turning a 2003 F150 with a 4.6L Triton V8 into a quarter mile truck and a friend suggested replacing the stock throttle body and fuel injectors with those from a 5.0 Mustang. Can this be done and if so what year model would I need to get these from?

Why would you want to do that? 5.0 has 19lbs injectors and the 4.6 has 19lbs injectors.

I'm not sure why he said 5.0 but if the 4.6 injectors will work I'll use those. Will the throttle body work as well? Also, what year model can I get those out of? It's probably a dumb question but I want to make sure I don't have any compatability issues.

woah I'm confused. Don't change your injectors unless you're maxing out your current setup. And I can't imagine how a 5.0 throttle body would be compatible with a 4.6 engine.

If I was you, I would look into a PI manifold and some 4.6 mustang parts.

I agree, the 5.0 and 4.6 are completely different animals.

What is the 5.0 TB size anyways?
i believe the 4.6 stock TB is 65mm , wonder if 5.0 is bigger mm

I think his best bet is a trickflow 70mm or 75mm , something on that line for the TB

I will make one suggestion though, GEARS !!!

the 5.0 tb is smaller at 60mm than a stock 4.6mm that is 65mm. they wouldnt swap well b/c the 5.0 has the sensors mounted different anyway. i think your friend doesnt know much about mod engines if he/she is giving u that kind of advice. 5.0 gt and 4.6's gt both have 19lbs inj so doesnt matter and if you did swap in bigger injectors you would have to get your truck tuned for those injectors anyways to make them work. you could swap in the mustang intake with tb in to the truck, you would loose some low end but you would get rid of some weight if your truck has the metal intake and gain some top end.
