Question radiator fan motor 2003 4.6 won't start

i replaced the whole radiator fan, motor assembly with a new assembly on my 2003 GT 4.6 Liter, dual overhead cam & replaced a burnt 50 amp fuse. all the other fuses are fine. now the radiator fan only turns on when i turn on the air conditioner. it does not turn on when the motor heats up, as it's suposed to. the air conditioner does not produce cold air. i also replaced the cooling sensor but it didn't help. the dealer says it may be many things. the computer chip is not communicating with the new radiator fan & needs an adjustment. an aluminum wire is burnt. the PCM (power control module) has to be changed $192 or the CCRM (constant control relay module) has to be changed, $625 dealer price. any ideas.

You might have better luck here: http://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6-modular-mustang-7/

This is the 2005+ section.

I know it's not at all obvious with how the sub-forums are laid out on the "Ford Mustang Tech" page. MF should really make it more obvious which forums belong to what generation.

I have the exact same problem and am thinking that the fan relay that's controlled by the temperature sensor is fried but I don't know where it is.

Can someone please tell me where the fan relay is?

there is a cooling fan resistor that plugs into the top of the fan shroud. It controls the speed of the fan. If its broken that could cause your fan not to come on when its supposed to. The fan is supposed to come on at low speed when your just driving around town. Its only supposed to come on high speed when the coolant temps get really high
