I know we don't want this to be a gear thread but fwiw... I have 4.10s, and get around 28mpg on the highway, and average 80-90mph. I had 3.73s and the gas milage isn't a noticable diff... But the performance is.

Just curious, but about how much money is going to be in this pi swap? I just have a feeling that for a small amount more u could make more power.

Lastly, why the comp cams? Hitech or cms might be a better way to go... I'd look into it

To be honest I don't know what is in my car right now for gears. But at 75 I'm at about 2700RPM. I get about 26MPG on the high way as it is right now. I would like to keep it at a decent number because I do quite a bit of highway driving. I drive about 40 mi round trip to work every day. 3.73's is sounding a little better now, a nice medium middle.

As far as cams go, I have only really looked at the Comp Cams, and I know a few people that have the Comp Stage II's. One guys car is a stroked motor making 400WHP. Same thing I'm looking for in cams though... A cam that will net me some power yet keep the car streetable. Plus the Comp Stage II's advertised power range is 1800-5800 which is smack dab in the middle of the range of the motor.

As far as the PI Swap and Cash goes Ill have around $250 for the heads, intake manifold, valve covers. another $250 for the Patriot Performance Springs and retainers kit. Then another $550 on cams. What else did you have in mind Dimebag?

Imo the hitech stage2s are a good choice for you... Check em out... Guys are doing damn good with them

As for the driving... I drive 35miles to, theb 35 from work daily, and make a 200mile round trip every sunday to get my gfs daughter... Trust me when I say 4.10s at 80mph gets damn good milage lol, wouldn't think twice qbout it

yes, i hear that hitechs work great with stock heads
when you have more heavly ported heads i would say cms.

I too have been looking into cams for a while, i would say change the stock springs anyways even though the hitech stage 2's say you don't "need" to.

The review on the Hitech cams look good. Cars making 300/315 with basic bolt ons. Ill have to do more looking around on cam.

Should I be looking at getting the Heads ported or polished? I'm sure it would add some power but is it worth it? I've also heard that it is pretty expensive to have that done.

Has anyone ordered from Parkway recently? I put an order in on Sept. 24th and have not heard anything back from them. Have left voice mails and sent e-mails and no response.

May have to cancel order and try somewhere else. Any other place to get a kit like they had.
