Terminator. Hands down. I've owned a bolt-on geared GT, a bolt-on geared Mach, and now the Cobra. I had big plans for the Mach, but I was going to end up spending about $5000 more than what I ended up paying for my Cobra, and my Terminator will hold way more power.
So....really your free to mod at will with an 03/04 cobra and not worry about breaking anything until the 800s at least?
Yes, of course anyone can have bad luck but the general Terminator can handle most of the power people can throw at it. That's why so many talk about the Terminators as if they are the Gods of the mustang world. Termi's with a pulley swap, tune and novice bolt-ons make over 500rw.
Im building my my GT up but you have to understand its not going to be worth anything when its 700whp... Probably wont even get what you paid for the mods when you sell the whole car..
From where you are at now... I would say go with the Cobra... I already have the Motor, Supercharger, Fuel system, Suspension (almost).
And you also ask, "Why do i have to know about the car before you mod it/Buy it", A are you serious? Its so you dont make a stupid mistake... Like u wanting to throw a smaller pulley on ur Cobra, When there are 10 other things you should do first which were listed above that will net you better gains and let the cobra run longer... You are going to get a Cobra Neglect it and have it wrapped around a telephone pole....
