Red face Just got a Mustang

Hi all, I am new on these forums. I just traded-in my 2008 CIVIC si for 2003 Mustang GT. Ive had this car this yesterday and today SERVICE Engine light Came on so I took it to AUTOZONE. After they tested it they said your CYLINDER #2 has misfired. And said take it to Auto Repair shop for further check.
How do I tell which one is Cylinder # 2 and where its located at.

I am bit worried since I just purchased the card, can this be an expensive issue or something minor. And where should I start for self diagnostics. Any help would be nice.

Its the spark plug or coilpack. How many miles are on it? Cykinder two is on the left side second one back if you are facing the car.

The car have 105,000 miles on it and CARFAX doesnt give much detail about what was done on this car. I still have to get oil change and regular maintenance.

Replace the spark plugs first, its cheap, then if the code comes back its the coilpack. Both are easy and cheap if you have hand tools to do in your driveway. Make sure you torque down the plugs correctly.

How many miles were on your 08 civic? Just asking, because if you had low miles on it, why trade it for something with alot of miles?

+1 on changing the spark plugs first and then do coil packs.

wrong...you should probably read more carefully, they both pointed out the same cylinder but looking at different sides of the car ;-).

he said right side of the motor, passenger side of the car. so that means hes talking about looking at the motor from the driver compartment.

the other guy said left side when looking at front.

so you know the other cylinders its counter-clockwise when looking at the motor from the front bumper.

rear of car
1 8
2 7
3 6
4 5
front bumper
