So I call the dealer today....

They say that they sent the car to a local Ford dealership which in turn sent the car to a Midas shop stating that there was a crack in the headers and some sort of "pinch" which the salesman could not elaborate on. He ended up saying this is gonna cost me over $1000, I was thinking it freakin better you bastards trying to sell me a jacked up car lol. Hopefully it will be as simple as a cracked header, and the part can be replaced. I'll keep you guys posted.

My question is does a cracked header sound like my video?

lol.. a cracked header, don't think i've ever heard of anyone cracking their headers, only headers rusting out, usually due to people puttiing heat wrap on daily drivers.

what year did they switch the heads to the 8 thread? Did that help or are people still having blowouts?

and in your video, that sound just sounds like exhaust...my truck has stock exhaust and has that same sound at low rpm if you give it some gas...if you have a leak in the header, it would sound just like that but louder....ive had 3 cars with exhaust leaks and they all sounded just like that....just checked my truck for leaks and theres none, its just how they sound

Yea... Good, It really is louder with gas. I know it doesn't sound that loud in the video though. I called the dealer for another update today and they said that the muffler shop had ordered new headers, and that the part would arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday. Hopefully I can have the car back by next weekend. Shame though it's gonna be in the 80's THIS weekend. I still can't get over the fact that the salesman was upset that HE'D have to dish out $1000 to fix it.
