Default Time for a rebuild/new transmission? (TR-3650)

As of last night my transmission is out of commission I was getting on the freeway shifting around 3500 rpms and as I went to shift into 4th gear it wouldnt go into gear. After that I couldn't get the car to go into any gear at all, so I pulled over to the side of the freeway and let it sit for 5 min. The car still goes into all gears when the engine is turned off, but when the engine is running it wont go into first at all. I managed to get the car moving by starting in 2nd gear but the transmission was making horrible sounds and smelled like burnt clutch. 3rd,4th, and 5th gear were all working okay again and I was able to get the car home.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a trustworthy/quality transmission shop in western WA? I was thinking of just buying one of the rebuilt TR3650's off of ebay for $760, whats the most efficient and cost-effective way to go about fixing the trans? Thanks.
