There are plenty of Cobra's on SVTP who DD 4:30's with great results and I would have to say they are prolly the best all around gear for a 4V especially with IMRC's deleted.
Hey 5.0 85 GT, are you the same guy on SVTP who said you drove a Ford GT and said it felt like your Cobra? That thread was epic.
No, 4.10's are going to be the max for anyone in Texas. I do 85% highway driving over a one way distance of 30 miles. I don't want to be running over 3 grand at 75MPH.

4V Mark VIII engine.
I had 4.10's in and put 4.30's in earlier this year and Now wish I had went with 4.56's. I even managed to get 24mpg on my last 6hr road trip with the 4.30's
What is up with all the young people thinking 3k is alot of RPM's on these modular engines. I seen a couple of posts about it and now you say you don't want your R's to go above 3k.I'm assuming you have old school dads that are used to Push rod motors where 3k is allot and have passed on there knowledge on to there kids

Upper radiator hose from a 2000 Toyota Corolla fits perfectly. I had one lying around. I got the Mark VIII thermostat housing and rigged the hoses just like the mark would.

Got a better run to 60MPH. I spun badly on the first try, so I stopped and tried again. Traction is hard to come by with this sucker and my shifting is slow.
