Default Coilover Spring rate question

I currently have a 98 mustang GT convertible with front coilovers. The front end is extremely stiff and I am thinking about changing the springs to see if that helps. I do not know what lb sprints are on there as they were installed prior to me purchasing the car. I have maximum motorsport k-member, caster/camber plates, and control arms. I use this car for street and drag racing.

What is everyone running for spring rate on their coilovers?

What do you recommend for my application?

I would contact MM and see if you can give them some numbers stamped on them or something. Does the car run stock struts? This may be the issue, so would hate to see you just swap springs and not solve the issue. With that said, I used to run 300# CO's up front and was quite comparable to the Saleen springs I removed.
