Do you have to remove blower unit in order to swap out belt? Can you get ratcet to release belt from the bottom of the car using a lift because it is not accessible from the top down.

figures.... Jvog what ever happened to your build????
Its done...well kind of. I drove it about 100 miles so far. Im not gonna drive it anymore because the inspection is up and I really really need tires. There is a noise that I need to locate, it may be a lifter, it may be a spark plug gettin ready to blow out, or it may be a spun rod bearing. I can't really tell. The plan is to drive it and if it gets worse and i see a **** ton of metal shavings in the oil its a rod bearing and then I go and have a talk with the machine shop
+1 I do the same thing. I think Vortech's instructions say to use vice grips on the tensioner. That's not happening too easily.

you can get it off but you need to make some kind of "make-shift" breaker bar to do it. my buddy made one with square metal piece and welded the square 1/2" connector to the end. (i think thats the size, it was whatever fits into the tension pulley)
I thought there was no room at all because of the bracket but that's helpful if you can make something to work.

the vortech bracket makes it a pain to change the belt. you have to get a long bar and push up on the tensioner from under the car. or at least thats how i did it
