Question Mustang acting crazy!!!

Ok here is the deal Saturday night i come home and car has been running perfect all day then when i wake up Sunday morning to get in the car and leave. My car starts up for 3 seconds then just goes died all of the sudden! So i try to start it again and it will try to crank but not start, but thats not the crazy thing about it all the gauges is going back an for like for example: speedometer going from 0 to 150 and gas going e to fuel etc. So we tired to find the problem for like a week and am about to give up we have tired to see if it was the battery , we have reset the battery checked alt, checked fuses and alot else. So we took it to the ford place little bit late yesterday and they checked it and told us it was electrical and am like duhh i mean come on but anyways they suppose to call me tommorrow to see what the problem is.I was just wondering if anyone could help me to tell me what is going on?(maybe bad ground somewhere in the wires idk.)

(by the way its a 2000 mustang gt convertible.) thanks for your help!

I would check to see if it is getting fuel and fire. Does not explain why the guages are acting all crazy, but it may lead you in a direction as to what could be causing an issue. Could be a ground, CCRM, ECM.... Could be a lot of things.

A weak battery (shorted or open cell) will create all the symptoms you describe--what do you mean by "we reset the battery"?

Could be green death. I've seen these sorts of symptoms before with corrosion on wiring. Any rotten spots near any wiring?

the battery is fine ford tested out the battery. They just called me today and said they been doing test on it all day and cant find nothing. So they are going to talk to the head tech about it and let me know Monday. I mean i guess it could be a bad wire somewhere which would def. take long time to find but i dont know. (i sure hope its not the ecm!!! Really cant afford over 300 dollars.) ya its firing if you mean about the plugs or whatever but it an starting and its getting fuel. (what u mean by green death Lowtryx just rotten wiring an stuff? I just dont get how it just started that overnight!)

Here in Canada we use Salt on the roads in the winter, destroying any vehicle with prolonged exposure. Wiring suffers as well, we see quite a bit of 'green corrosion' or Green Death.

Any chance of this where you are?

haha just read your Location.. Doubt there is much road salt in Alabama

Get your hands on a multimeter and start looking for ground issues.
