Default Fixin a Rust hole in a bbk header

Ya well i heard a exhaust leak from under the car .. so i got under it to find the my headers are pretty fuggin rusted.. and 2 - 3 small holes in the header pics not that great, took with a phone and holding a flash light up... but u get the idea. what can i use to fix these, if any fix is out there

I could have told ya bbk are junk!

Do yourself a favor and pick up a set or ARH or Kooks, so their all stainless steel. You won't have to worry about this problem.

they were on the car when i got it...

Im not looking to buy new ones the reason why i asked can it be fixed for now.. ~_~

tried that gel wrap jobbie see how long that holds ..

Still hearing a ticking noise from neath the car thou either bottom of the block or near where the trans bolts up the motor.. I was in neutral so idk what it could be.. sugegstions?

Are they salted lol

Oh man u have no idea.. how bad they dump salt.. the roads are generally white til aprill after 15 rains =.=

If they were smart they would use sand like some of the other states..

but ya.. when the car isnt a daily driver any more i got my work cut out for me

Unfortunately I don't think you'll be able to weld those up with any efficiency that it would stay sealed up.

that rust will spread like a cancer.

i had this problem myself. i bought a set of used MAC headers and a MAC h-pipe. after ONE winter, they were rusted to hell. i bought a set of Pypes headers, pypes H-pipe (i don't recommend either), and flowmaster super 40 stainless steel cat back. i figure that the exhaust will outlive the car :lol:
