if its a mod motor it should fit. but like said, the problem with dropping in new motors usually comes to the intake manifold. any of the 5.4 motors (2v, 3v, or 4v) will drop into a mustang without any problems, except the intake manifold doesnt allow the hood to close. ALSO, the 5.4 uses an 8 bolt clutch and flywheel/flexplates while the 01.5 and up new edges use an 11 bolt. so in this instance you need to replace your clutch and flywheel. you may have that situation (not hard to fix, but can add cost if your doing this on a budget)
do you already have the f150 motor? do you have a v6 or v8 mustang? why not just find a 4.6l PI motor...you can find those for stupid cheap.

TRADE MY Mach 1 HOOD + scoop set up for easy GT install (attached, no intake system necessary, unless you want it) for a COWL hood and maybe STOCK + CASH (but probably not). The hood is painted silver, in great shape, does need a color sand, but thats no biggie. Would prefer a swap for a silver one, but will consider many options. Need to trade due to changed plan on this car. RTP/Greensboro/Charlotte
