Im going to need to rebuild my t-45 to handle around 400 hp, is this a good idea or should i look for a used 3650 and have that rebuilt?
If you are going to honestly going to need capablity to take 400 HP, then get either a 3650 or a aftermarket trans. I love my new TKO. It should be virtually impossible to destroy if I treat it correctly.

MD says that he beats on his 3650 all the time. I don't think powershifting is good for ANY transmission, but you should be able to get away with it for awhile.

Honestly, have you ever been in a street race that was close enough that powershifting would have made a difference???

Just thought I'd post this website for those who are always asking bout what it takes, or how much it costs to convert to a T-56.

I don't know all the years, but this is pretty much a 94-04 subforum soooo....

Ramrod was right, late '01-04 have a TR3650, 96-mid 01 have the T45... 94 and 95 stangs have a T5... Before that, at least for a majority of the years would be the T5.

Edit: See post below. That's what I was wondering about since they had the 5.0 motor.... Now it's clarified.

I'm pretty sure the 94-95's came with a T-5. Thats what they used to hook up with the fox body 5.0's.
