ORIGINAL: Lasered01

According to my Haynes Manual...

1996 - 1997 V8 models have T45

1998 - 2000 V8 models have T50D

2001 to 2004 GT Models have the TR3650

There you go!
The T-45 was in use until the 3650 came out. I have never even heard of this "T50D" before.

T5 OD for OverDrive.

I thought the T45 went from 96-mid 01. Hell, I don't remember though.

And I don't trust my haynes manual, it's GARBAGE.

Okay, so I have heard the TR3650 has some pretty big problems with the synchros...and I am aware there are TSBs out on it...has anyone gone to a Ford dealership to have the TSB done on their car? Did they hassle you when you said you wanted it done? How long was the repair? Is it completely free? For how long are the TSBs in effect?

i changed the oil with full synth and added a short shifter on my 3650 witch used to take 5 min to warm up and shift better, it used to grind once in a while, but i noticed if i shifted more stronger and faster it never grinded, but when i changed the oil and added the steeda shifter is never grinds no matter what, these trannys need oil changed every 20-30k or your asking for introuble.....

Where you getting yours from? I'm gonna go with D&D. Also Going with a t-56, with that extra gear, does that mean I can go with 4.10's instead of 3.73's?

I was going to go the same route (ebay). But I rather spend the little bit more money and get the cross member and aluminum driveshaft. What kind of clutch are you going to go with?
