Default K&N air filter vs CAI

Most CAI's will run about $150-$200. The K&N air filter costs about $50. I've heard that u get about the same performance gains out of a K&N air filter that you do out of a CAI. Just wanted to know if you guys agree with this because if so I'm not gonna waste my time with a CAI.

i run with a K&N filter in my 2002 GT and i love it. its hard to nitice any power gain but K&N's cone like design allows super air flow into your engine. Make sure you buy the filter recharger kit as well as the filter. It cleans your filter after periodic use and it makes it breath like new again. go with the K&N....[8D]

The CAI would make more power then the K&N because with the CAI you get a high flow filter plus you replace the restricted intake.

A Mac CAI will net 6 rwhp. A C&L tru flow pipe, meter and K&N filter will net a 14 rwhp gain.
