port intake plenum

Default port intake plenum

How are you supposed to port an intake plenum ive heard that you can gain a couple of free horses so i thought id give it a try.

You can start by removing the "as cast "surface from the inside of the runners.Then you can match the ports to the runners so there is no" proud"edges to create turbulence in the airflow.Unless you know what you are doing DO NOT reshape anything,this can be very counter productive and ruin your intake or heads.Good luck

CrazyHorse, I don't know anything about you or your background. But I'd suggest just buying a Plenum. Their only 175 or so from C&L Performance... RPM outlet <- they have the rundown on how much flow you can get from porting instead of buying one. Just food for thought. Let me know how it goes either way. It's a good mod.
