Squeaky bearing?

Squeaky bearing?
Hey guys, I'm new here. Just got my 99GT 2 days ago and love it. One problem though, I bought it used with no warranty. Im getting a squeaking sound when the engine is reved above about 800rpm. When it idles theres no problem. I replaced the idle pully yesterday, because the bearings were shot, thinking that was the problem, and it fixed the squeak for a little while. But the squeaking has started again. It didnt make any noises at the dealership when I test drove it ect. Any ideas as to what the probem is? All of the other pulleys seem tight, they dont wobble, and the belt is in good condition. I'm gonna bring it to a local shop if I have to, but I am trying to avoid that. The car has about 47k miles on it. thanks

Did you replace the belt?
Even though a belt looks good it doesn't mean a thing. Try replacing that and see what happens. V style belts are desinged to run on the angled edges not the flat bottom that everyone assumes. When the flat bottom starts touching in the pullies you get that horrible belt squeal. Not sure if the mustangs use V-belts or not never changed one but I would be worth while to do.

RE: Squeaky bearing?
Thanks for the reply. I just went through my paperwork and CT requires liscenced dealers to warranty their used cars for a certain ammount of time depending on how much you paid for the car. I just got off the phone with the service guys where I bought the car, and they're gonna take a look at it. Only thing that sux is they're like 60 miles away....dunno how im gonna schedule this with work and school...P.S. I didnt relpace the belt, though I probably should have. Its not the typical belt squeal. It sounds like a worn out bearing, metal on metal contact. Its high pitched but not super loud. With the radio on, not too loud, you can barely hear it.
