My a/c doesnt work

Default My a/c doesnt work

The heater works fine and when I set it to the blue side and put it on a/c it blows air but it isnt cool air. Can anyone help me

Not a mechanic......what year is it? you could be out of freon(sp?)?

haha I had to deal with this too. Does the A/C compressor kick in? Probably not. Check your fuse panel in the passenger compartment (under the steering column) for a blown fuse... you blew your A/C clutch fuse.

If that doesn't fix it, check the fuse box in the engine bay, too.

my 03 had bad o o rings and it leaked out all the freon, took it to the dealership and they fixed it for free

They acutally do not put freon into cars anymore, they stopped that awhile ago, can't remember exactly what year... But now, they use R-134 or something like that... It's what makes the air come out cold... You should really go and get it checked out... Mine never blew out cold and I found out that my a/c compressor wasn't hooked up..
But yours could have a slow leak that they would have to find and fix if you lost all your refridgerant.

Its R-134a Refrigerant Gas, but I believe they are converting to a newer gas called HC 12a
