Default Mods?

I'm thinking about getting a 99 GT, what would some good mods be, if the car is stock.

I've got about 1500 to spare

I think it would be fine... but a 155 lph pump and 24 lb/hr injectors couldn't hurt.

I know a setup that will get you into the 11's thats got to be the best out there....everything stock, small (6lb) procharger and $150.00 proted and polished upper intake. Throttle body single position might cost you 150. 11.55 to 11.6. Know a guy who has one, just those mods...ever heard of him....DG?</P>

Ive made a mistake...all he did to the car was put a 4.10 gear in it and a 6 lb procharger...runs mid 11's all day long..daily driver. Its, if im not mistaken, dave gliddens knock around car. Oh yeah...he runs a slick. Stock everything, right down to the air filter.

one last time...the 4.6 operates in a differint RPM range and power/torque curve than the old 302 long blocks. A 3.73 in an 89 gt will perform comparably to a 4:10 in the 281 with the same hp. Your best bet is to go with a 4.10 gear if nothing else.
