Last month I had my Mach 1 dyno'd for the first time with about 10k miles on it. Car was still stock with the exception of a drop-in Kool Blue air filter. Car put down over 287rwhp and 314rwtq. That's just a tad underrated from the published 305hp 320tq by Ford!!

I added a Magnaflow O/R X-pipe and had it re-dyno'd this past Saturday. Put down over 297rwhp and 327rwtq! That's just 2 very simple bolt on mods, an air filter and an X-pipe through the stock catback!

You are confused, the HP rating from Ford for a Mach 1 is at the CRANK, not the wheels.

yes, and what he is saying is that it doesnt make any since that his RWHP is so high, but his crank HP would be that low (260). Unless somehow fords drivetrains are more effecent than any other manufacturers on the planet, his GT and perhaps others are making more HP than the rated 260.

This is just more evidence to prove my factory freak theory. Lots of people (including people on this board) say that factory freaks dont exsist, but they do. Sometimes all of those tolerances come together to form a perfect machine, and when it does a factory freak rolls off the line. Its just bound to happen with any mass production faclity. I should know, I work in one.

Now that I look at your graphs, your power is all over the place. Not consistant at all. That must feel weird at WOT. Congrats on making that much power though. All the other stock GT's I've seen dyno's for are around 220-225 range. I don't think that Ford underrated these cars at all. They're pretty close to being right on the money.

No, I'm not confused. What I was saying was that my car is rated by Ford at 305hp and 320 tq, but according to my dyno it's 337.66 crankshaft horsepower and 370.18 crankshaft torque, assuming a 15% drivetrain parasitic loss for my 5 speed car.

Those are far off from what I've seen dyno'd from stock Mach 1's. The one's I've seen, the most was 274hp 291.7tq which is still underrated.
