You can use these websites to figure it out. I found them in the general tech forum. My '96 GT works out to 3.36.

Gear ration calcs:

Dude that is some really cool info. I'll have to check mine out this afternoon and find out what the shop manual says mine is supposed to be. I can't figure out if this car has minor mods or not.

For instance, the exhaust sounds mean, but I'm pretty sure it's stock exhaust. Can't be sure but I can't imagine Ford actually put that kind of sound on them stock. I don't have any other '96 GT's to compare it too.

Post everything from your time slips.

You need to work on your 60 foot times by the sound of it.

I pulled off a 13.942@99.51 in my stock 04 gt a few weeks ago. My 60' was a 2.114. I have the stock tires and everything so theres no differnce there. One thing though was i was only running it up to 1800 and working out the clutch. I'd go with the BFG's if I were you. I keep hearing that they have better grip than the 555Rs, thats what i'm planning on getting after I put in my 4.10's the first or second week of april. Then im hoping to drop down to 13.5 with some luck and good track.

Bump your launch RPM to almost 3000. I am guessing you bogged off the line. I have runa couple of 2.0 of street tires, launching at 2800. But down track has always been bad. 2nd was more than a chirp. figure on feathering the cluch a little shifting 2nd. spining 3rd probably means you were out of the groove or the prep is real bad near the end. The fast I ran my car stock was a 14.4 and that was my first pass. The track went to hell real fast that night and couldn't manage faster than a 14.6 after. I was pissed, I know I could have gotten down to atleast a 14.1 my 14.4 pass the launch sucked and spun 2nd a little to much.
Hopefully I will do better in a few weeks.

man all you need to do is work on your launch. Limit wheel spin as much as possible. Not that difficult once you've gotten the feel of your GT....

I'll say this again. Mickey Thompson ET Streets!

Don't waste your money on the Nittos. They hook like a buttered Goodyear!
