Default Why are my tires so sticky??

Hey I've been sitting here trying to decide why I get so much traction. I can launch with only a chirp......DUMP it in 2nd with only a chirp and DUMP it in 3rd with nothing at all. I have 275's on the rear and 4.10's. I do however have a 12 inch 2000 watt sub and a 1500D watt MTX amp with a pretty big enclosure in my truck, plus the spare tire. I figure all this probably adds close to 100 lbs if not more in my trunk. Could all this have something to do with it?? If so, do you think I should take it all out at the track for weight reduction, or leave it in for traction???

A couple things, what kind of tires do you have, and also, did you have traction control on perhaps?

No my Diablosport predator keeps my traction control off at all times. I have Kuhmo Ectsa or however you spell it 275/40/17's, nothing special.

Are you absolutely sure your tires aren't spinning?

Just because they aren't squealing and making a lot of noise, doesn't mean they aren't spinning.

Mine don't make any noise whatsoever, they grab really well...but I've tore into them pretty good going sideways and screwing around a couple times. No sound at all usually.

Um....I've went through 2 sets of tires in the rear....1 up front. I know how to fishtail, doughnut, burnout etc. I also know if my tires are spinning or not.

with just a 3.73 gear and welded in flows (and a k&N lol) my car would just blow off the tires if I shifted hard into 2nd with my old BFG street tires.

The nittos fixed that problem though. I would just get a chirp in 2nd and thats it.

I dunno how traction is a bad thing... usually for great racing that's what you want, but I could just be out of my mind

My tires are too sticky too. Should I quit putting super glue on them? I know how to go in reverse so I don't know what I am getting at.
