Default Wheel weight question.

I've read (I think) before while lurking on different car forums that the bigger the wheel gets the more weight it puts on (obviouslly), but I've seen people say it as a negative thing.

I'm debating 18" and 20" wheels for my Mustang, before would of never considered 20" but on my Camaro I put 18" and now they seem smaller.

Anywho, researching on mustangtuning.com they say a 18x9 chrome bullitt wheel weights 29 pounds, whereas a 20x8.5 chrome bullitt wheel weights 30 pounds.

Is the jump in weight only really noticable when you get to extremely huge wheels? like 22" +? Or did I make up the negative aspects of bigger wheels in my head?

Or is it the fact that I'll get less tire with more wheel?

I'm not really going to be doing that much modification to this vehicle aside from the things that everyone and their mom does to their Mustang, probably make a Sunday car out of my Camaro and the 'Stang's going to be my daily driver.

Thanks for your time, it's appreciated.

Default RE: Wheel weight question.

The weight is at a farther radius, therefore increasing the rotational inertia much more than 1/29th. Also, I think they look goofy on anything but a few of the 05 and 06es.
