Default X pipe vs test pipe

ok so

option A is to buy an O/R X pipe

option B is to take my car to the local muffler guy and pay 20 bucks to get a test pipe welded in inplace of my Cats on my H pipe.

1)easier to install
2)2.5 inch piping
3)cutting off cats welding in test pipes might have fitment issues
4)probably cheaper to buy x pipe pending on labor rates + welds.

cheaper then 20 bucks out the door? and why would 2.5in pipes matter i wouldnt have that all the way back.... it would go from 2.5in to my OEM size muflers and tips?
