Default burnouts

Hey
Are burnouts bad for car besides balding the tires ?

it's a good way to fry your clutch or tranny if you aren't careful. when the power is there, something has to give. that's your tires spinning. when they dont spin (ie slicks) is when you break ****. (stock). the excessive heat from that abuse is what tortures clutches and trannys, even on stock or close to stock power levels.

It puts a lot of stress on the driveline components, wastes tires and fuel. If you do it to heat the tires at the strip, okay.
