So if someone was gonna just get gears exhaust and maybe intake, they'd be better off getting 4.30's? rather than 4.10's...if they didn't care about gas milage at all and didn't drive on the highway much...is there a huge differnce? people don't talk about the 4.30's all that much is why i ask.

if you aren't gonna run drag raidals, 4.30s, even with just boltons, is gonna be alot on the street. You will never catch traction until late in 2nd if not 3rd.

When I put my 3.73s in, the car was acutally slower with my old tires. The car would spin thru 1st and when I shifted into 2nd spin and then bog down.

I notice that almost everyone that recommends 4.30s either runs stock gears or 4.10s.

Sorry to sorta take the thread but, if u didn't wanna tune ur car (warranty) would it be alright to just get a speed cal with the gears instead of a tuner?

As long as you're a manual... speedcal doesn't work with 99+ autos..

About the same for all three. I was able to hit 150 with the stock gears, and about hte same with the 3.73s. Your car won't hit redline in 5th with any of these gearsets anyway, you will simply run out of power and stop acclerating.

Exactly... Everyone worries about top speed for some reason like they are topping out their car all the time. I've done it once with the gears, and that's all I need to know.

Seriously...they should be asking what speed are you at when you redline 4th gear, not for top speed in 5th gear. Because 5th gear isnt for racing...lol
