Default Clutch...

Ya got my window fixed. Mechanic says clutch is gonna go but yet when I bought it. Owner said clutch was 1 year old..... found cobra clutch on summit for 165 but how much for installation?

I'll guess its gunna be like 150-200. Clutch installs aren't too bad on RWD cars. I paid 300 for mine, but I had clutch, flywheel, clutch cable, quadrant, firewall adjuster all done at once.

that's the clutch I have. YOu will love it. Be sure to replace or resurface the flywheel. I had mine resurfaced and it grabs like sexay now and is silky smooth. I installed it so it just cost me my time

I also cast a vote for the King Cobra. Mine's even slightly easier to mash than the stock one was.

How bad is installation what tools would I need. Im totally up for doing it myself. Ya I was planning to get is resurfaced.

when my cable is warmed up (lmao) the king cobra is effortless to push but it grabs tight as heck

whatcha wanna know? drive shaft comes out, shifter comes out, H pipe comes out, starter comes out, then tranny and clutch is right there. Now know it there is the clutch cable and a handful of wires to account for, but if you have a strong jack, 4 jack stands and a committed friend (many hands make light work) you can do it no problem.
