So what are these things supposed to run stock?
I just picked up a black 99 GT, manual tranny. I love the car, but I'm wondering where it runs. I searched but couldn't really find a thread that answered my questions.
I had my friend drive the GT and I drove my Z28 last night and we ran them, it wasn't pretty. I want to get this GT into the 12s then I'll do my heads/cam on the Z (shootin for 380 rwhp on mild port/polish with mild emissions cam).
What do they run stock? What does it take to run 12s in the way of bolt-ons?
I'm going to get this thing to the track next week, but hopefully you guys can give me some numbers to expect. low-mid 14s at around 95 mph?

low to mid 14's at 97-99 mph trap. I would guess since it looks like you know what you are doing from your sig that you can get a 14 flat with a decent launch. To get that hin into twelve's you are looking at full bolt on's, cam and head work. If oyu really want twelves I would honestly go w/ a supercharger or spray. FUll bolt on's w/ head and cam work is gonna cost some serious cheddar.

270 is normalish for an M6 car. A4s typically dyno 255-265. Dynojet numbers BTW. Best real dyno of a stock car I've ever seen was an M6 97 T/A at 279 rwhp. I've heard of 283 but never saw dyno graphs.
LT1s were really underrated. The only ones that were rated correctly were the 96/97 WS6/SS cars at 305 fwhp (only difference between 97 Z28 and 97 SS was suspension, hood and a heat soaked air resticting intake on the SS). They all make about that much. LS1s were underrated as well, as previously mentioned.
