i've heard of this problem. I think the solution is to turn the button on the handbrake (seriously) until it stops vibrating. finally a vibrating part problem that I don't have. i dunno why that makes me happy.

Yup, mine rattles from time to time... Just give the button on it a nice turn until it stops and you will be set for a little while.

or you could probably try lifting up the handbrake as hig as you can get it, find the little allen screw on the underside of the handbrake that is used to tighten it down or loosen it to take it off and try tightening it a bit. Or maybe you could take it off, put something very thin aroung the inside of the plastic hanlde to try and dampen the sound, just a few things I would try to permanently solve the issue.

I am having this same problem after installing headers on my car. Anyone ever come up with a positive solution for this?

Same vibrating handbrake button here... Annoying as hell for both my wife and I. We take turns messing with button on cruises to eliminate noise but it always shows up.

Anyone figure out a fix for this? Is there an easy way to take about the handbrake and try to clean it out? Anyone with knowledge on this (I would even look into replacing the handle if it was easy).

It just gets worse every day.
