Default Seatbelt CHIME

I have a 2001 GT... I hear that there is a way to
disable the chime that goes off when you don't wear
your seatbelt. Does anyone know how to deactivate
that sound. Yeah yeah yeah..... I know I should be
wearing it so save your self the trouble of telliing me so....

In my owners manual I found the way to turn it off for the time being.
Once I turn the car back on though it starts ringing again. Is there a
permanent way to do it???

Just wear the seatbelt!!!!!!!! Sorry...had to. It just became a primary offense here in Va so a cop can pull you over for it.

Just don't do this: http://media.ebaumsworld.com/index.php?e=noseatbelt.wmv

I believe the speaker for that chime is under the driver side dash panel. Rip'er out.

i got the seat belt chime to stop in my 02 gt as well as my friends 04 mach...ill put the direction and bear with me on this one
1)have the car just on the first click so electronics are on but not the motor, then turn off everything (radio, lights...etc.) make sure the car is in neutral and the e-brake it up

2) wait for the seatbelt light to go off right before the chime starts and plug your seat belt all the way in and out 3 times.

3)turn on your headlights nad then right back off and do the seatbelt 3 times again

4)now wait for the light to go off, and youll have 7 seconds to plug your belt in once then let it out. at this point the light should flash numerous times and it might "ding" a bunch, after that your in the clear and no more seatbelt ding.

i had to try this twice but on the second time if worked so be patient if you need

Are you serious spleen? Why not just go to the dealer and ask them to shut it off. All they need to do is hook up the W.D.S. computer and tell it not to ring. May cost you $20 bucks.
...As far as the ritual goes, you forgot the most important step- open the drivers door and jump up and down three times!
