The coils increase voltage to the spark plug and the msd box gives multiple sparks per ignition cycle, which spreads the spark over a longer period of time, ensuring a more complete fuel burn. That's about all I know about it.

ok . i got the coil packs and wires and plugs coming..my question is will the msd 6al 6420 .be an easy install in a 97 gt? is it even compatible or should i be looking at another type..thanx in advance
