Default 4.10 too much for long drives?

I have 4.10's that are waiting to be installed, but i'm having second thoughts about it. I will have a 700 mile trip (one way) to school that i would have to take a few times a year. Should i be worried about long trips with 4.10s?

It's the reason I didnt buy 4.10's and everyon gives me hell for it. I did the calculator there is about a 400 rpms difference.

To show the gas mileage difference I can go 75 with 4.10's and drive 88.5 mph with stock gears and get the same gas mileage. Thats a big difference. Flame away.

no need for you to be flamed, if you are strictly talking mpg, 410s are slightly worse. most people dont buy them for mpg but that is reality that they will be slightly less mpg. I dont take long trips so it is okay for 1-2 mpg less and be able to rocket away from a light or have the great accelaration of 410s over stock.

You missed the entire point.

Judging off of that... if i drive 75mph with stock gearing, I can only drive about 63 mphand get the same gas mileage.

apparently you've never driven on hwy 98. that road is a nascar road way. Hell we have to have drag parachutes to slow the cars down to make a turn because other wise someone will drive up our asses.
