Default Cars from Cali...

My car was bought in Cali. and i kno that they have different emissions test, and my friend said that there is a hose that is running from my exhaust to my intake or something of that manner, and he said if you take it off you can get about 10 hp from it....

has anyone heard of this and if so where is this hose..

alot of cars have an EGR, exhaust gas reciculation, that actually put a small amount of your exhaust gasses back into the intake manifold. not sure about the mustang though, but the emissions are stricter in cali so maybe the tune is different?

EGR is actually Exhaust Gas Return, and is a valve. He's probably thinking of the older 5.0 cars. And they didn't/don't remove them, they just put an EGR spacer on them.
