Good point. Never though about heated PVC. Thanx. Gonna have to rebuild mine now.

I actually thought about using the Shaker hood, but from what I've researched, it's only 50% functional, so I'm not looking at too much horsepower. I do think it looks nice as #$@% though. Who knows...maybe later after I get some other more important mods done, I'll get the hood scoop <edited><editID>GSXRIntensity</editID><editDate>37773.1005787037</editDate></edited>

Shakers and ram airs...same functionality and princible behind them. I don't see how a shaker's only 50% functional.

what I read was a while back, but it said that the hood was only 50% functional, because of the design of the ducts or something to that effect. Basically, the hood scoop was designed for looks as well, and in which case probably made some of the ducts curved in such a way as to not all of the air to flow freely. I've not taken one apart, but that is what I got from the reading. Maybe the walls of the ducts are really close together. I really don't know.

I don't think that Ford would re-instate the Mach 1 and use such s**tty designing.
