what kind of power are you making? Maybe you would want a stage 2?

Power? I'm making way less than 300rwhp. And much less than the advertised 400 it can handle. Ive got the stocker with 61k miles on it in there now and im about to install long tubes. so for an extra 200 id replace the clutch while im at it. But i dont want to put a piece of junk back in, know what I mean? I want something to grab good and hold up. Will the spec I do the job? I dont really ever expect to see over 400rwhp.

Might as well go with a spec stage 2. But specs are known to be hard on the tranny. centerforce and mcleod are also great.

if you are planning on doing any more mods, than it does make sense to just go with the stage 2

not to hijack, but what esle do you need if you were going stage 2 or a centerforce that can handle 450 or so? what about the fire wall adjusters and quadrant things and that kinda stuff?

id say go with the stage 1 mainly becasuse u wont get as much chatter and its gonna be easer to drive with less force to push the peadle in as well as be smoother in city driving.

Yeah im thinking stage I because in all reality, I dont think my car will ever see FI. And if it does, ill be looking for a new transmission to go along with the package, which will need a new clutch again anyways. Think ill ever really be near 410rwtq with full bolt-ons (no cams)?

Im doing lt headers in a few weeks so I figured i'd do the clutch for a couple hundred bucks while im there. The stage II is about a hundred more so I'm just wondering if that hundred would be better spent elsewhere. Anyone with a stage I, n/a wishing they got a stage II?
