install on K-member and drive shaft?
Just wondering what Im getting myself into. I want to replace the entire front suspension and the whole deal to save some poundage. I will need a jack to hold the motor up right? anything else special I need? how about for the drive shaft? anything important I should know for both these things?

I zipped some stuff from my Ford service manual for you. I just took all the front suspension stuff.

no, im thinking about buying the granatelli coil over kit for the front. the springs fit over the stock struts, and I can swap out the struts with better ones later. i dont know how well these kits do, but granatelli is a good company as far as I know. Im thinking about just getting eibach drag springs in the rear. BTW, anybody know how to interperet the number ratings for springs? they come in 90/10 and 70/30. I was wondering whats best for drag?

RE: install on K-member and drive shaft?
i just did an engine swap. i put a 2002 gt engine in my 1996 gt. i added a bbk x-pipe and bbk headers, qa-1 k member and different springs. i used the stock suspension set up. i upgraded my a-arms to the 2003 cobra. the car has a nice stance to it. i didnt really notice a difference i the ride. i havent race it yet with the new set up. on the 96 mustang when the car is lowered the drive shaft will hit the bracket for the e-brake. i did not change the set up, but you can see where the bracket is hitting the drive shaft. if you have an alum. drive shaft you will need to remove the braket if you car sits real low. it wil put a nice big grove in the drive shaft. my brother found that out. changing the k-member is a big job. but it looks good when it is done. good luck
