Default roush 2?

I went by the ford dealer yesterday...to look at the SVT lightnings. I saw a whole crap load of the new roush mustangs (360R i think) there was 1 that was labeled roush 2. I checked the roush site and cant figure this out. (now for the question) Is the roush 2 the roush mustang "stage 2"? This was for sale for ~25000$, this seemed low for a roush mustang...but what do i know. Any reply would be appreciated.

Ialso posted this in the hi-po section...sorry for the double post.

I think it is the stage 2, but the best way to know for sure is to ask one of the salesmen at the dealership. Let us know if that is what you find out.

The stage 2 is a v6 unless it has the GT package. The stage 2 with the GT package costs about $28k. So the one you looked at is a v6.

I sort of remember seeing the 4.6L on the window sticker...but im not positive. It had HUGE front and rear tires (295/18's i think) Seems a bit much for a V6. I am going by there after work tonight. Ill past later what i find out (probobly nothing...dealers never know anything about the cars they are selling anymore.)

Default roush 2?

Finally got a chance to go by the dealer earlier today. The salesman that came out didnt have a clue what he was selling... I at least was able to read the window tag in daylight this time. This was a roush stage 2 package applied to a mustang GT 4.6L base car. No mods to the transmission, the engine was however worked on. It had a working ram air hood scoop, different injectors and a "chip". Full roush stage 2 side exaust (with the cool rectangular tips in the side skirts...sounded great) Full roush stage 2 suspension package and roush brakes front and rear. all the neato roush badging inside on the seats/dashboard and outside(even window stickers, which looked a little goofy and cheap). Anyway, I drove it about 3 miles around crouded public streets. Never got a chance to really uncork it but it seemed a little hotter than other GT's ive been in. Handling seemed much tighter, as it should. The dealer told me it was the "upgraded version of the 360R" he knew this because "its a roush 2 and the others we have are just roush". I guess he didnt notice that it was 25000$, and the 360r was about 48000$...and its not like he couldnt have known...there are 5 360R's there next to this one. I just played dumb and test drove a lightning next...I still cant decide what i wanna buy...

Be nice if you could go with that 360R.

There are 3 stages that roush offers, and they are all kits placed on a base GT, as it shows on the Roush website. There are, however, Roushs' made straight from the factory, which is the 360R. The 360R comes with 360-380 HP (cant remember). The "stage 1" kit is body work, the "stage 2" kit is advanced body work with the side exhaust, and the "stage 3" Roush kit is everything offered in the other 2 kits, plus motor modifications which match the 360R. Hope this helps.
