Default cobra vs. gt
What's best 1996 cobra or 2000 gt? stock vs. stock, bolt-on vs. bolt-on, etc.

i would go with the cobra, it has like 40-50 more horse and has 16 more valves so will respond better to mods

Stock for Stock they are even? NO WAY!

Some people might argue that the 00' GT may look better, but the Cobra has a solid-rear axle, 32V DOHC, and an aluminum block. Not to mention the power difference:

2000 GT:
260hp /280 torque

1996 Cobra:
305 hp/ 300 torque

Cobra by far.

actually the GT has 300lbs torque. look up the specs and times on a cobra. they're pretty much equal with a 99+ GT.

the only mod the cobra needs is 4.10's. Now that it can reach its powerband quicker it will smoke a gt. Get it!

Please don't post incorrect information. The Gt is rated 300lbs of torque. Actually I believe its 305, but 280 is way under....

they are both close stock for stock, NOT THE SAME but close... but the cobra will liven up quicker with mods. it has two more valves per cylinder to work with
