If you are willing to go thru all the trouble of mating a 3v to your 4.6, then you would be much better of with 4v heads. But if it were me, I'd just drop a Mach 4v in there. Very simple swap.

I saw the date.. the question you should ask yourself is did I give shet?
My inquiry was, has anyone done a step by step of dropping high flow heads such as the frpp units on a 3V block. So I was just looking for a tech article.

If the question was never answered, then a thread is never dead.

how do you figure that one? IF the 3v swap can be done, tell me how. 3v> 4v, in more ways than one

Because 4Vs flow better than 3Vs, just like 3v flows better than 2v heads. Also 4v heads have DOHC compared to the 3V SOHC. Are you really asking me this?

+1
But for the OP of how many years ago, yes it can be done, I don't think there's anyone on these forums but other forums like corral.net has guys who've done it.

The 4v is more expensive, requires 4 cams, much heavier, and doesn't flow that much more than the 3v.
