The Nissan 350Z has 3 engines 280,300,350 what one did the Pony beat. My Garmin GPS has my top speed stored in it at 140 think it happened when I whooped a Lexis. Oh I have a stock 01 GT Convertible 5 speed.

i have a 98 gt &i had it at 145 &could not get anymore out of it . i was messing w/my friend who had a v-6 it was late and no traffic at all his car shut down at about 130. i don't think that the govener on 04 gt's are different ,i would say that you will not see 150 unless you remove the govener. i just got a diablo sport tuner and just removed the govener, i haven't tried it out yet.. i'm finishing up some mods before i do that.

after my tune I tested my limits to see what it was like ungoverned and I was still pulling at 150 untill I let off because I diddn't want a piston in my face...

ok, well to end this, my 2000 Roush tops at 140... maybe a little faster, but that's in 4th.... 5th being th OD gear doesn't change the top speed... there's not enough torque... now i've got 3:73 in mine so i don't know what it would be with different gears, but i've hit the same top speed a.... "few".... times....lol.... just find a LOOOOOONG stretch of highway at 3 am and have fun (at your own risk)..... lol

I've been at 140, and it felt like it kept pulling. I'm pretty sure I could reach 150 if I wanted to I don't think I ever will. EVER!

just bringing this back becuse I have an 04 with 4.10's and a few minor bolt on's and I layed the needle on the 150 pin and still continued pulling... the video is only 30 seconds long so it cut'sout at 140... that's all I can capture with my camera phone

A deer @ those speeds will do as much damage as a tree. Had mine to 120 & decided I didnt need to go faster.

I dont have a Stang, but I did hit 178 km/h in my parents' '98 Mercury Sable...pretty fast as there was another passenger and crap in the trunk(tire,amp,guitar..etc). That is 110.6 mp/h...according to this:

I might get higher....but I won't be able to get an exact reading...speedo only goes to 180[8D]

Then again, they say speedos can be up to 10% off(eg:100km/h on the speedo can be from 90 to 110 in real)
