Default MY First V8

I just bought this 1996 GT from Ebay... Hope to have a lot of fun with it this summer. I was also wondering what would be a good start up to reach the 300-350 Hp range thanks,
John

congrats on the new car. not sure of the 1996 gt hp, but you might need a supercharger if you want that much hp. JMO

it's like mine. 215 crank horse... 285 lb/ft crank horse. around 180 at the wheels.

my mods are air silencer removed and flowmaster mufflers. My total horse now is around 218 crank and 288 lb ft crank. I think. haha

The easiest way to get there is with nitrous or a super charger. You could always do a PI swap, full bolt ons and cams and hit around 285rwhp.

But yea the stock HP is 215, and with my mods and an auto i ran a 14.9 at 91mph so are cars arnt crazy fast but they dont suck. Congrats on the car.

All my experiences with Ebay have been great but, ocassionally you'll hear of a horror story or two. The guy i bought the car from was a stand up guy. Bought the car for 5800 I figured that was a steal... its got just over 100k miles but thats not too bad.

Wow. That car is gorgeous. Take out those awful floormats and you have a killer car. It looks like the owner(s) took great care of it, 10yrs old and 100k+ miles and it still looks new.

Congrats man! Be good to her.

EDIT: What shift **** is that in there?
