Default power windows rigged to run all the time?

has anyone done a mod to their car to allow the windows to be rolled up when the car is turned off? i frequently leave the windows down when i have already turned the car off and it pisses me off to need to turn the car back on.

Personally, I'd like to have mine be cracked a little without worrying about them being rolled down by some random person for easy access to the car. You could wire it to do that, but I don't think it's a good idea. One alternative is to have some kind of timing mechanism like on my parents caravan so it can be rolled up for 45 seconds after shut down, but not after that.

if your window is cracked open a bit, someone only has to press the door unlock botton anyways....its not any less safe

youd have to find a power source thats always on. you could try the power seat wire harness. wire your windows into that and youll be able to use the windows when the keys out. or you could use a fuse splitter in your drivers side fuse box and wire your windows to that. id go with the power seat though, cause those are always open circuit.

how much effort does it take to turn a key back to the accessory position?
