the yellow is best if your constantly draning the system, the blue top is a marine type batter most commonly seen in boats, the red is just a good battery that uses the 6 pack design to give a greater charge in starting and thoughout the entire electrical system.

optima batteries get returned more than u think..... we get a decent amount returned for how many are sold... i think they are overrated unless u need to mount it sideways or upside down for some reason.

yellow tops are deep cycle batteries, designed for high power drain vehicles

red tops are cranking batteries, if you don't have a fancy stereo system, these will be better for you

blue tops are for marine apps.

If you have that much stereo, you need to get at least a 1 FARAD Capacitor, so your headlights won't dim, and your alternator go to crap...

Yellow = Deep Cycle = Better for constant electrical drain (sort of simulates a Capacitor)

Red = Great battery = Lighter than most batteries, and requires no service...

I think Optima has some of the better battery lines out there.. Definitely worth the money...

I have a Stinger 1 fared cap and it works great. I would like a battery that holds more juce because I like to have music going while I detail the Stang and ect........or at an outdoor party where music is needed. I have a plug in battery charger that I hook up to my battery so I don't drain it, but I don't always have access to it. Also my battery is still the factory one.....on an 01 Gt.......for a 5+ year old battery it still works great, but someday when I least expect it, it is going to crap out. So do you think yellow or red. I don't have room for a secondary battery.
