ok an optima yellow top will help you with the light dimming but and a cap will help as well but the best upgrade is the alt. you can find a good 200+ amp one for about 150 200 online.

my old setup was 1 kx1200.1 amp and 2 12 L7's and 1 JL 300/4. it drained the **** out of my system. if ur volt meter is bouncing then a cap will help if ur meter is comming down and staying down u need a HO alt.

and the optima yellow top is not designed to act like a capacitor only the stinger gel cell battrires are or one of the batt caps.

I understand what you're saying, but what's the point in charging a battery that's only half as good?? Or even better, what's the point in burning out a more expensive alternator??

Just like all modifications, you really need to plan your supporting mods so you don't have to repeat your work... I've learned the hard way, as I'm sure a lot of people have..

Just my $.02
