Ok this isn't a normal exhaust question about what brands are good and whats not. I'm considering starting to redo the exhaust on my car, starting with headers and moving back. I was curious (and yes I am cheap but I have a GF and I just got out of Highschool so I have a right to it[&:]) if you can use different parts from like SLP and MAC and have them work together. Because I don't think that SLP headers look any different then MAC and MAC's are cheaper by far. So if I were to buy MAC headers and a MAC O/R-X could I use an SLP Catback? Know this may sound simple enough but I wasn't sure. Also if anyone can tell me what all you have to remove to put on headers and how long it took then please let me know (from what I've seen you pretty much have to pull the motor).

i know on most websites slp has a disclaimer that says their midpipes are designed to only fit slp headers, but maybe thats just so youll buy theirs who knows for sure. i dont see why, maybe someone has interchanged brands id like to know cuz i wanted bbk heads and slp mid.

i had a bbk with with the stock headers then i chaged it to a slp o/r x, never had problems also, my friend has bbk headers, slp o/r x pipe and borla stingers on his mach 1... never had any problems.... but headaches
